Alternative Pathways in Nursing at Quinnipiac University
The School of Nursing is proud to announce the alternative pathways we offer to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
We offer three program learning paths that are aimed at being flexible for whatever a student's current situation in life may be. Whether they are considering a quick career change, taking courses as a working professional, or a flexible learning option that accounts for life's many differing responsibilities and challenges.

Accelerated Nursing Students
Designed for individuals with a bachelor’s or associate's degree in another discipline, who are interested in pursuing nursing as a second degree. The curriculum builds on your prior educational preparation, and the degree is completed in 15 months, starting in January and August with students concentrating solely on nursing courses.

New Careers in Nursing Students
The New Careers in Nursing (NCN) Program is designed to welcome qualified applicants to work at HHC while pursuing a low-cost BSN degree through the University’s School of Nursing. Participants will complete the approved and accredited program on a part-time basis over the course of two years, while maintaining employment with HHC.
